Barbara is the specialist that bridges gaps, whether it's at the United Nations or an international marketing campaign. She has fulfilled needs as an entrepreneur, business advisor, overall marketing professional, and writer. Her path first began in media in the commercial and film industry serving as the music production coordinator for Lintas: Worldwide, marketing specialist for Home Box Office (HBO), and management for the music production house, Elias Arts. Deciding to start a family, she shifted her focus to the nonprofit sector, while remaining committed to the idea of self-sustainability for those in creative industries. Using skills acquired from managing marketing research strategies for Lincoln Center Productions, as Managing Consultant for the Arthur Ashe Foundation, Barbara handled the day-to-day responsibilities of the foundation and served as liaison to 11 independent organizations that support Arthur Ashe's legacy. Also, spearheading the archives at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture on behalf of the Ashe Family. As Production Manager, she coordinated the internationally broadcasted development and installation of Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm's portrait. Also, she served as Consultant to the Safe Passage Foundation in collaboration with The United Negro College Fund (UNCF), The Fortune Society, The United States Tennis Association, to name a few.

Barbara's commitment to inspire merging social justice platforms with art and culture has also been found in her programming providing visual art presentations at the Simon Wiesenthal Center, developing art exhibitions for the United Nations Ad Hoc Unit, Human Affects, and art mentoring collaborations with Intersections International (NGO). She has also consulted NGO CSW in marketing strategies to outreach to diverse populations.

Later in her career, Barbara managed the development and installation of the historical Shirley Chisholm oil on canvas portrait installed in Brooklyn Borough Hall. From there her ongoing relationship with Shirley Chisholm legacy includes the launch of the 40th Anniversary celebration of her run for Presidency, unveiling and limited edition merchandise development in collaboration with the United States Postal Service, curating the national unveiling of the USPS Postal Service Shirley Chisholm Forever Stamp in collaboration with the USPS among other national initiatives. Later, Barbara curated in partnership with the Office of the Mayor of New York City an invite-only event from First Lady Chirlaine McCray to inspire young women to become engaged in the political arena highlighting the legacy of Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm. Carrying the baton of this global legacy, Barbara serves as President/CEO of the Shirley Chisholm Cultural Institute.

Her process illuminates the past, present, and future accessing innovative methods to disperse sight, sound, and texture to the local and global community. Her experience led to launching the rebranding of several nonprofit institutions inclusive of a world-class performing arts campus and a historical premiere theatre located in the highest concentration of African Americans in the United States. Besides, she has curated public art throughout NYC in collaboration with the Department of Transportation. The mixed-media permanent tile installation at the Bedford Stuyvesant YMCA, curated by Barbara provides the community with visual support in the lifestyle of health and wellness.

As a publicist, she has also supported leading actors and directors in new project development with a fresh approach to engagement. Barbara led marketing strategies for actor and director Harry Lennix's NY directorial debut, served as a publicist for the theater production Hero, co-written by actor Omari Hardwick and Def Poetry Jam Reunion curated by Danny Simmons featuring the poetic legend that shaped the Black Arts Movement Sonia Sanchez and others. She currently serves as a consultant to the United Nations Non-Governmental organization, Gray Panthers, one of the most storied and recognized advocacy groups fighting for the rights of older persons,

Barbara's goal is to continue to work in multimedia platforms producing critically conscious stories for marginalized voices. She served as a consultant to an international fashion brand curating initiatives of social justice and art and as a curator on The Hill to continually produce critically conscious stories offering a platform for marginalized voices in collaboration with the Congressional Media Caucus. Most recently, Barbara was invited to speak at The Library of Congress, as entrepreneur and President of the Shirley Chisholm Cultural Institute on behalf of the legacy of Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm, the first woman and African American to seek nomination for President of the United States of America.

As the author, with quotes from renowned global luminaries, "RE LEASE + BE COME", a newly released book written by Barbara seeks to restore the integrity of the human spirit through art, words, and resources for healing emotional wounds. She is also developing a graphic novel focused on healing of generational trauma.

Barbara's passion is to develop platforms for underrepresented voices. Her firm, B-Bullard LLC is MWBE certified with New York City and New York State, in addition to 8(a) certified with the federal government. As a Salzburg Fellow, she collaborated with 42 leaders from 20 countries representing 39 organizations on Civic and Civil Engagement: Identity, Belonging, and Education in the 21st Century at the Salzburg Global Seminar in Salzburg, Austria.
